§03 / The story

About Stillwater

A guide service that fishes
these waters in February too.

Stillwater opened in 2004. Twenty-two years on the same lakes, rivers, and streams. We are on this water in February for ice-out scouting, in July for the thermocline, in October for the fall feed. We know it.

Three guides. All Ontario-licensed. Two carry Restricted Operator (Maritime) for big water. Catch-and-release encouraged on trophy fish, eaters welcome on walleye and panfish.

Boat, electronics, tackle, bait, snacks, water, ice, and the knowledge of where to start — included. You bring lunch and a valid Ontario fishing license (we can sell you one on the dock if needed).

§04 / Guides

Guides

Three guides
worth booking.

Every Stillwater guide spent at least three years fishing solo on our waters before guiding a paying client. Match a guide to your target species — or let us pick.

§08 / FAQ

Common questions

Asked &
answered.

Do I need a fishing license?

Yes, a valid Ontario Outdoors Card and fishing license tag. If you do not have one, let us know — we can sell you a 1-day or 8-day license on the dock.

What if it rains?

We fish in rain. We do not fish in lightning. If weather forces a cancellation, we reschedule at no charge or refund in full.

Do I need to bring tackle?

No. Boat, rods, reels, tackle, bait, and electronics are included. If you have a favourite rod you would like to use, bring it.

Can I keep fish?

Within Ontario regulations — yes. We encourage catch-and-release on trophy bass, pike, and trout. Walleye and panfish for eating is welcome.
